Did you notice I am now publishing previously posted pages (wow, there's some alliteration for ya) in the right hand margin? I have formatted the pages to look like a typical e-book or printed book. You can look at these by clicking the links. This will be the best way to catch up on chapters you may have missed AND will include NEW chapter art and NEW edits I have added to the story.

--FROM THE WRITER'S BLOTTER--

Sorry, this isn't a new chapter but something from me, the author.

I realized there will come a time when some will need to catch up on the story. I also had the thought that many of you out in cyber-space would like to listen to the story. So here's what I came up with:

Periodically I will post previous chapters on YouTube for you to listen. Since posting the chapters I have reassigned chapter numbers (based on the feel of the work) and I have assigned chapter titles.

Meet Ash...

This is Ash. You'll get to see him for a short while in this story. He is rather tricky, and only likes to come out at night. Rumor has it he's afraid of the daytime. My guess is he likes to stay up late to go to all the exciting parties in Nedge. That is, if they are still having parties.

Here’s one more art piece. This is one of Max’s friends… or enemies? You’ll have to wait to find out whose side he’s on. I like that he looks like he spends a lot of time in the sun. He does, because… Well, you’ll have to wait to find out why.

Concept Art 3

Day three of art. Here is a character who you’ll find lurking around the docks. His name is TBD he is one of the shopkeepers. He may seem like your average guy, but he knows a few secrets you wouldn’t expect the guy at the Five and Dime to know. My favorite thing about this guy is his shoulders are so slight--perhaps this quality comes in handy when he sneaks around the dark alleyways.

Concept Art 2

Here’s another “concept art piece”. This one is a character you haven’t met yet tentatively named Ora. I drew her with a specific job in mind, but I don't think I can tell you what her job is just yet. She has a little bit of a hippie personality, but maybe you can tell that by her feather earrings. She is an interesting character and is sure to see things you wouldn’t.

Today she is donning a blonde hairstyle, though she is known to change it up depending on the time of year. Her connections to Tura go beyond a chance encounter...

Concept Art 1

While you wait for the next installment of the story, I thought I’d give you some “concept art” of the characters. As some of you may know, I like to draw art pieces in relation to or as inspiration for my writing. I encourage you to do the same. If you’ve ever tried writing a story and you get stuck, spend some time doodling. If you don’t think your doodles will amount to much, flip through a book or magazine and look for interesting characters to write about.

For the next week you’ll see at least four of the “coming” characters. I normally just do black and white pictures, but my mom loves when I color my pictures in. So, for at least the next week, the pictures will be colored.

Today, is a character you’ve already met.

Here is some original concept art on Famba. Today she is dressed in shades of jade and emerald. You’ll notice she is a little worn down—must have something to do with Archibald’s toenails.
