I always admire when an author knows details about their creations that they don't give to you. And I always admire when they post their secret ideas somewhere online so you can snoop into their worlds... So here's a glimpse into Nedge that you probably will never read about:

There is a tailor name Jack Laugenstalk who is the personal tailor to the Guardians of Gillenbrek. He is personally responsible for suiting all Guardians in their uniforms. He lives at the palace, per the Queen's request, and has a design studio that looks out on to the palace moat. He leads a quiet life where he roams the city looking for inspiration every afternoon at 4:00 pm. He was once married, but his wife has passed. He has no children to leave behind so his work is exceptionally important to him. Hidden in his work are his initials J.L. on every garment. He hopes one day his work will go main"stream" and even make it to the surface someday.

Perhaps I'll whip up a picture of this kindly gent. But until then, there's a glimpse into Nedge.
