Packing In the Ideas

Yesterday I posted about my advice (or was it Stephen Kings?). Either way, speaking of advice, my dad gave me great advice a year ago. He told me this

"Pour all of your ideas into this novel."

"But dad," I said to him, trying to make him see the big picture, "I want to write a series."

"It doesn't matter. You are a creative person, you may think this is the last idea you have, but you'll come up with more. Pack it full of your best ideas."

This summer I have been packing it full of all of the tid-bits I was holding back on. Well... we'll see if it pays off. And as I pack more in, I get new ideas. What do you know!
