--FROM THE WRITER'S BLOTTER--

Inspiration

At times when I am stuck with my writing I go people watching. Sometimes I need only look around at my own curious family. Other times I have found myself attending a movie (one I probably could care less about) and watching the people before and after the movie. It is great to think about how people behave and what they talk about and do when most distractions are removed.

My wife and I once took notepads to a movie theater and wrote our observations and "career guesses" as to the attendants at the movie. We came up with some hilarious anecdotes on the passerby's. I highly encourage the practice! You never know, the next time you are sitting in Starbucks a giant man named Max could walk by ready to be written about.

Hope you're enjoying the story thus far,

The Author
