I have a goal for myself: To work on writing five days a week. I have been keeping up on this goal this past week, however, I know that writing on the weekends is always best.
In the summer I hope to write every single day, but we'll see what comes of that (fingers crossed that I can get a computer to write on).
We'll see what comes of the process. At this point, I have re-read Nedge three more times and have worked on active v. passive voice and taking out all of the absurd ways of saying "said". I laugh at my drafts when I read things like "Max coughed aloud" or "Tura reproved in a hushed tone". Sure, some of it is good, but then I remember the cardinal rule of dialogue tags: Make your dialogue talk, not your tags.
Someday I will look back on this time with great fondness.
Until then, work, work work.
