Beginning chapters are hard.
On Friday I met with my dad who has been helping me shape some of the rough parts of my story. He had some really good suggestions for me (most of which I took). Then suddenly, as if the clouds parted and angels starting trumpeting I saw the light...
And SLASH! 5,000 words were cut from Nedge.
There was a moment of silence for the deceased words, but then there was a big celebration as the story zipped along at a good speed.
Trust me, if and when you read the book you will be thankful for the edits. Superfluous words and story elements must be cut. They must be destroyed. They must be ----- (this section of the blog has been edited for being unnecessary).
There it is. Nedge is now a 47,000 word story.
