Picky Publication

This week I submitted a short story to a magazine for kids. I don't know what to expect, but I'll hope for acceptance.

I wrote the story based on my own experience, but I'm not sure that will come through when they look at it. The story's about a kid who is a picky eater... For those who know me you'll agree, I am and have been a very finicky little snot when it comes to what I'll eat and try. I have expanded my horizons greatly. Believe it or not, when I was in junior high and the first year of high school I didn't like steak! GASP! Now I love me some Filet Mignon more than any other tasty treat my money can buy.

The big idea I hope to hold onto through this short story is the fulfillment of the writing process (well, true fulfillment would be publication, but I've done my part). I am pleased to say I brainstormed, wrote the piece, edited it, finalized it, and sent it off. Woot! Woot! Here's to good luck, strong prayers, and hopefully an interested editor.

As for other news, Nedge is being beaten to death by edits. Poor thing.
